Hi. I'm hesitating between UCL's MSc Public Policy and QMUL's MSc Global Health Law and Governance. Personally I'm interested in both but don't know which one is better in terms of getting a job after graduation. I studied Spanish as an undergraduate in China. Thanks a lot for answering my question!

Unless you know some people who did the UCL programme who said it was crap and/or you know some people who did the QMUL programme and found it super valuable, you should go to UCL simply because it is a much better ranked institution.

In terms of your experience and how much you'll enjoy the experience, rankings aren't a great measure, but when it comes to someone looking at your CV, you are in a much better position if they see UCL than if they see QMUL. This is called signalling, as in going to UCL will send a stronger signal that you are smart and employable than going to QMUL.

Making decisions on this basis is, I grant, a bit f****d up at the societal level, but there's nothing we can do about that.
