Medicine in general is so bloody competitive but more so because international students have such few seats. Especially students who get into Oxbridge, Cardiff etc. For example, Cambridge takes in only 22 international medicine students a year and those 22 students must a have an insane profile.

That may be true, but many do still get in. Afterwards it's only the extortionate tuition fees you'll have to contend with!

Of course, if all else fails, you can always apply to Buckingham med school (no caps on International students): https://www.buckingham.ac.uk/medicine

Here is the applicant thread for 2020 entry: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho....php?t=6219932

Cambridge isn't close to having the highest application to offer ratio, though. Its 'only' 13 applicants per offer. Brighton, Exeter, Imperial and Leeds are all higher than that, with Bristol the second highest at 19 applicants per offer. The highest though... Oxford at 80 applicants per place averaged over the last 3 years

There are quite a few med schools where requirements for international students are lower than for Home/EU ones
