Express 8 and o.25 as powers of 2 and hence simplify log base 5 (8) / log base5 (0.25).
I dont understand how to simplify
I get log base 5(2)^3/log base 5(2)^-2.

All good so far.

Do you know a different way of writing log_a (b^c) ?

You’re doing well. Just follow this rule, and then cancel out everything other than the base for both the numerator and denominator!

Don’t you meant 3 log 5(2) / -2 log 5(2)?

After this just cancel out the ‘log 5(2)’ in both the numerator and denominator for the answer
