Does anybody know how long it takes for a kilogram of water to fall from the top to bottom of the three gorges. It’s an irrelevant and irritating physics question I have in my homework.

Using SUVAT:

S - 181m
U - 0 m/s
A - 9.8 m/s/s
T - ?

S = ut + 1/2at^2

181 = 0t + 4.9t^2

181 = 4.9t^2

t^2 = 181/49

t = 6.08s (2dp)
