Trinity, Johns, Emma, Jesus, Caius, Catz, Christ's, Peterhouse, Magdalene, Corpus, Kings, Downing, Pembroke, Sidney, Clare, Queens' - these are generally perceived the more prestigious (i.e. all the central colleges...).

I have got another question.

Is there a way to change colleges once they have been allotted
at the Camrbidge University?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

No, not unless there are "exceptional circumstances" (and I have no idea what an example of those would be). I mean, if they allowed people to change nobody would be left at, ahem, *certain* colleges, would they?

But which one's the most picturesque? welcoming? etc
This thread is not really going to get impartial advice. I'll start-Homerton!!

I'm going to move this to the Cambridge forum; you'll get a better response from people who go there.

Maybe a 2-2.5 mile cycle to lectures.

The London School of Economics and Political Science... College. :awesome:
It depends what you're looking for. Jesus has some of the nicest grounds around - it's all very green! I love Downing's architecture, but you might prefer the wierd charm that you get at Sidney Sussex. Robinson is pretty fugly though.

The only way to decide is to get yourself down there and have a proper look.

My personal favourite is Trinity Hall - so pretty, and right in the centre without quite so many tourists :yep:
