Whichever college is home to the superbly fit ginger I always see walking around town.
:coma:

Joke? Lily Cole - Kings, but I expect she doesn't bother living there.
in no particular order, i find the most pcturesque to be:

St. John's
Trinity
Pembroke
Jesus
Selwyn
Downing

These are the ones that really do take my breath away.

she supposedly does live in now- not that we ever see her! not that i would call her superbly fit anyway- more funny looking
how about christ's? starting there in october but as i was pooled ive never been there.
Mmm yeh I've never seen her. I'd want to see her dressed normally without tonnes of make up to judge.

I only agree with half of that list :p:

Hmm... I might have to give this some thought - there is at least a small part of me that would like a change from Ox, and I have seen a pretty awesome PhD that appeals...

Shhh....

The fact that it's a four year course puts me off a bit... as does the 'PhD' bit. Also the lack of CRL-goodness.
I'm applying to Catz. Doesn't seem as pretentious of some of the other city centre colleges. In a perfect location but not touristy. Excellent accommodation for all three years. And, I think the main court looks highly impressive from the street!

Nooo, I like men!

Very tall? Lanky? Curly hair?

Nope, tallish, but straight hair - maybe more of a strawberry blonde than a ginger, but I think most would say ginge. Looks like a bit of a posh nob but we could work round that.

OK, so our sister college (John's) is just too scary and intimidating, compared to Balliol...

Christ's is a little gem, but I'm biased. Friendly, centrally located oasis of calm with all the bars, vans and clubs within stumbling distance. The first three courts are beautiful, the typewriter less so. Fellow's Garden is a wonderful place to laze around and pretend to revise in over the summer. You will love it.

Go for something like Peterhouse, Trinity Hall or Corpus Christi (old and small) Jesus is nice for medium. The postgrad college, Darwin is a very popular choice for postgrads. Its really nice, and different.

Our sister college is Merton!

Laundry being done would make me paranoid that it would get messed up somehow

See, you think that for the first week or so, and then you suddenly realise that having someone do your laundry for you negates any other considerations and you chuck it all in. I know some people who handwashed all their underwear for the first couple of weeks because they thought someone washing their underwear was weird - they got over it very quickly!

I'm studying in the EU, and I will apply to Cambridge next year. I have read the official brochures about colleges but I'm still not sure which college should I apply.
My preferences: Trinity, King's, St. John's, Pembroke
I perform quite well in school, won the national physics competition, 12th in maths, and I am selected to the IPhO this year.
Which college would you suggest? I prefer bigger colleges with good academic record,.

you can count us (kings) out then we're quite small and our academic record isn't exactly shining (we have lots of fun though  )

Yeah King's is tiny, I wouldn't think about it. Their chapel is actually the smallest in Cambridge :fyi:.
