what a ******* *********** thread.

I like how St Edmunds has got a decent amount of votes, and I'd bet that's because it's at the bottom of the list and people find it convenient to click.

are you the high renaissance man?
Well, to go with how biased everyone else is likely to be, my college isn't up there so I can't vote I'm afraid :p:
The people In Emmanuel are lovely, seriously friendly bunch. Plus incredibly intelligent too.
Kings is beautiful. I've been Inside, just once and felt in love.
Queens has a pretty witty outgoing bunch.
Corpus has a really close knit bunch of people.
Sidney Sussex has some really nice down to earth people.
Trinity has amazing history.
To be honest ...they're all pretty fantastic. I think for me it's between kings, emma and queens.
newhall is my personal favourite
I really like St. John's just the look of it, atmosphere and the life. The ball is supposed to be pretty good too. It's like Trinity in some ways but in others completely different, I think that's why I like it.

Such a beautiful place....
Everyone's just going to vote for their own college..

Kings - it's beautiful...

Iconic, for sure, but not the best, imo.

Yeah I just said Kings because it was the only college which actually made my jaw drop when I stepped into the courtyard. :p:
St. John's is winning. A mistake was made here...

At the moment I'd have to say Christ's, partially because it has a cat.. ^^
I am a Year 11 student, predicted all A*s and was looking to do Land Economy at Cambridge University. I would like to live in college all 3 years as I don't think I could manage the headache of student housing. Anyone got any ideas? Also, opinions of Christ's and St John's College as those are ones I am specifically looking at?
Prefer older colleges by the way! Thanks x
In most places, they'll only let you stay in student accomodation for your first year. Also, you don't even have your GCSE results or your AS results...

Maybe, but that isn't relevant to a specific query about Cambridge, where accommodation is available in many colleges for the duration of the degree.

OP, start your research here: http://www.cam.ac.uk/colleges/addresses.html
pretty much all cambridge colleges give you accommodation for all 3+ years.

and go look round the colleges, speak to students at each one, and see which you like the best. i'd naturally recommend jesus

St. Edmund's man. Without them we wouldn't have a rowing/rugby/any team.

The cat's not there anymore :frown: At least, i haven't seen it at all.

However, Christ's did have Ali G which isn't as good as the cat but...

Not at Cambridge! Most students stay in student accomodation for at least 3 years (even if it is just a house owned by the college).

Before I visited Cambridge I always had this idea that Trinity was the best as I'd heard of it the most. It seemed to have the most prestige and all that. :p:

But yeah, I voted Caius. I just felt more at home when I visited there.
