I’m wanting to buy my first car can someone give me advice I’m thinking between a Citroen c1 or a Fiat 500 but what’s better say a 2009/10 car with 30000 miles with good service history or a 2014/15/16 with 100000 miles and also a good history, what’s more likely to break down or need repairs?

The more miles a car has done, the more work every part has had to do, so the more likely it is that parts will wear out or fail and need replacing.

But if it has good service history, then that should have been carried out already. It depends on the car really.
Personally I'd go for a lower mileage 2009 fiat 500 tbh.

I wouldn't touch either with a 10 foot pole, but in this case I have to say regardless, go for the lower mileage one. 100000 miles on a citroen or fiat is suicidally high, and should be avoided unless you want to run around in the mornings screeching "my car won't start again!"
