Great question, it's definitely not easy to know how you'll suit the job, I've found that really difficult myself. Of course, you can't change your interests, but this doesn't matter because consultancy is so diverse, both in terms of what types are out there, and the tasks you have to do when you're in the job. If you're tech-savvy, go for tech consulting; if you're interested in business strategy, strategy consulting could be for you; or if you're a numbers person, look into financial consulting. As a consultant the range of skills that can come in handy are maaasssivvee, you may even find you have a hidden skill! The main thing is that you know yourself, you're open about your strengths and weaknesses, and that you're willing to try new things and speak to new people!
