I’m just about to start my EPQ and I wanted to base it around genetics but i not sure how to narrow it down anymore. It would be great if anyone could help get the ball rolling 😃

if you want to do it on genetics, what in genetics really interests you? this will make is easier for you to write and then talk about when you do your presentation. Is there a certain area that's has come up in the news that interests you.

Genetics is a branch of biology concerned with the study of genes, genetic variation, and heredity in organisms.
If ur looking at medical genetics - the branch of medicine that involves the diagnosis and management of hereditary disorders (u can look at molecular genetics or clinical genetics which come under this area)

Maybe you want to pick a sub topic from here? Or like how genetics has developed over time. Genetic engineering?

Try reading a book on genetics and see if there is anything which interest u in there which u want to further research into (epigenetic revolution, selfish gene, genome)

Also when choosing, insure that your choosing something were a wide range of resources will be available, eg books, articles.
