I'm not sure at all, possibly something to do with IT or medical.
Personally, I would definitely drop RE as it doesn’t really mean anything (unless you enjoy it). 🧐

How many are compulsory and if so which ones. How many options will have.

I think GCSE further maths is just the basics of AS maths, so maybe drop that because I'm assuming if you want to do something medical or IT based then you'll do A level maths anyway? Otherwise, I'd drop a language or humanity.
english lit & lang, maths, sciences & you said re are compulsory. leaving further maths, spanish, history, engineering & it; i believe. correct me if i’m wrong.

personally, i’d only do further maths if you definitely enjoy maths. if not, maybe not. but it’s not up to me, it’s up to you.

which of the subjects do you enjoy most? i’d strongly suggest taking the ones that intrigue you most. right now, career options don’t matter so much, it’s a level you have to consider it in a bit more depth. so my advice is go with your favourite ones 😊

Drop history (if it's not compulsory)
