Other than past papers, just do as many practice questions as you can. Go over your papers, find your weakest topics/weakest type of questions to deal with, and get yourself a textbook or workbook that has practice questions that you can do.
With practice you will gradually make fewer mistakes. Or at least, you'll be able to do the questions more quickly and then have time to check your work.

maths genie - do all the practice questions available there.
I went from a grade 5 at the start of year 11 to an 8 (3 marks off a 9) in the final exam. used maths genie question packs, did them all from like grade 3 maths to grade 9. then did all the past papers avaliable. re-do questions you get wrong (so if I got a q wrong, I would attempt it again like 2 weeks after and see if I could do it).

practice is the key!
