Exam question

was doing some exam questions for a level biology and a 5 marker was: 'explain how the alveoli create a surface for efficient gaseous exchange'
the wording is confusing me, is it simple asking me for the adaptations of the alveoli and explain why those would help with efficient gaseous exchange? thx
yes, so things like short diffusion pathway, large surface area to volume ratio and good blood supply
