Maastricht University : International Track in Medicine Watch

So I’m going to clarify some misconceptions here.

Maastricht University has a programme in medicine which is 3 years bachelor and 3 year master. Both need to be done in order to become a doctor and get a MD.

It’s a great PBL programme. It’s pretty much the most PBL of all the programmes in the university. Selection criteria is strict and you must show the relevant skills in order to show that you are suitable for a PBL programme.

Yes you need to learn Dutch as a second language but the university pays for Dutch courses and you learn another language.

Master in medicine is taught in Dutch but you can do many “internships” pretty much anywhere you like 12-15 months.

If you want to come back to the UK - you apply for a full GMC registration.

Within your master you basically do the foundation year 1 equivalent unpaid.

Bachelor is in English
Master is not in English but you get plenty of help.

I have read so much rubbish about this programme on here so I thought I would clarify !!
