In the revision guide, it says "sexual intercourse is a direct method of transmission of diseases". I'm assuming this is referring to how one can come into direct contact with someones infected genitals.
But for the exchange of body fluids during sex, would this be direct or indirect transmission of pathogens ? I'm thinking it's indirect considering it involves an intermediate.

Would it be direct? For example if someone were unlucky to get an STI, then the bacteria or virus would be transferred through direct genital contact.
