I see where you're coming from, but the title makes sense in terms of how people speak. A lot of the time what we say won't be grammatically correct but it still makes sense and we can still have conversations :yep:

I appreciate your openness for discussions. I accept the result, no matter how it ends up. By the way how long are you here by now?

Hey, just to share my thoughts with one of you, @Chronoscope and @DrawTheLine:

Don't you think that the thread name is badly chosen? if members are still on TSR - and it is about the active members here - 'how long have you been...' as a past tense is does not fit, but if it is replaced by 'how long are you...' as presence tense is the way better. Because they still are members of TSR. They are not dead, not gone, so no past!

I know its bean counting, but grammatically correct!

Echoing DTL about how people speak / word order.

e.g.
How long have you been on TSR = how many years/months have you spent here
How long are you on TSR = people might mistake the context for how many hours per day they spend on here  Not that people should mistake the context, but people can.

That makes everything clear here. The explanation is very plausible that I understand this even as a foreigner who was not grown up with English as mother tongue.

Every time I log back on to TSR randomly I'm aways shocked you're still so active. Been so so so many years since we were in touch!

Bloody hell it's been a while!

10 years

Omg, Usy! Hope all is well!
Been here since August 2013 and counting . . .
12 years - January 2008. It doesn't feel all that long ago but I think I'd have been procrastinating my first year of uni at the time.
