Late Application/Extra Availability Watch
So I applied to university in November, to all Scottish universities. I hadn't considered England, as in Scotland we are all really pushed to study here because of SAAS paying tuition fees. However, I really want to apply to UEL for the Creative and Professional Writing course. Of course, with my luck, I realised this after the deadline.
I've already emailed the admissions team for their advice, particularly whether they consider late applications at all, and what chance I would have in Extra if I decline my existing offers.
In case this is relevant, I dropped out from St Andrews university in 2018, after leaving school and going there in 2017. I achieved AAAAA in my Highers in S5, and have a total of 265 UCAS points overall from my last 2 years of school (Highers and Advanced Highers). A* does not exist in Scotland.
I was looking to see if anyone here had either submitted an application late or had got their place through Extra. What was your experience like? Thanks!
