How do you budget at Uni?

What I do is I allocate myself a set amount of money to spend a week and I do a big shop from Lidl (as it is really cheap) which can sometimes last up to 2 weeks. And then with the rest of the money I have left to spend in a week I just try to use in wisely on things that I need. I definitely recommend starting Uni with savings if possible for nights out and fun things. I'd recommend getting a Monzo card as with their online banking you can create a money pot and round up all your transactions so you save a bit of money with every purchase and it goes into your money pot. I also recommend having one account for general spending and one of savings if you have any.
I hope this helps and it really is important at Uni to budget and be organised with money.
