Is it ok to use a teen fiction book for your NEA coursework? I'm doing See How they Lie by Sue Wallman and comparing it with A woman in White but, have been told that See how they lie is seen as childish. I'm not sure if AQA looks down on teen fiction novels so any responses would be very helpful!

AQA have a list of books on their website that they won't allow
They don't like books that were studied at GCSE either, but they don't mention anything about teen fiction
Possibly write your question and ask your teacher to send it off for approval, and have a backup in mind just in case.
The NEA is only 10% of your final grade so I don't think they'll be too bothered about it

That is a good idea! My teacher believes that they'll dislike it but she never actually checked. Thank you!
