I'm interested in doing either History/Politics as part of MEXT, however the website mentions needing to sit exams in English, Maths and Japanese. However, one of the main points about MEXT is that you don't need to know Japanese to start it as you'll be offered a year prep course in the language, so how on earth do I pass an exam on it? English is easy enough of course but I looked at the past papers for Maths and as someone who hasn't done Maths since GCSE and only got a 6, hasn't really touched the subject since, and isn't applying to do something Maths-related, how am I supposed to pass a Maths test like that? The stuff in there looks harder than what I did at GCSE.
