can't pay my student accomadation rent

I have been currently living in a student accommodation for 6 months and decided to move out which I have done. The reasons are because of my mental health and due to being bullied in the flat. I did sign a contract but because of this I had to drop out of university and won't be receiving my student loan. Therefor I won't be able to pay my rent which is £2160 a term (3-4 months) and yes I know it's ridiculous it was more expensive than I thought. They messed up my contract and I signed it without reading which was stupid. I have explained to them my reasons of moving out/dropping out and their reply was for me still having to pay all my rent in full. I don't know what to do?
On what you've said, not much I fear unless there's some sort of exit provision in the contract. Have the issues of bullying been formally raised with them before as a complaint and them given reasonable time to investigate/resolve it? As they won't accept 'I'm being bullied so I won't pay',they are unlikely to be sympathetic to the student loan either.

I'd expect more come & go from many landlords, but I generally associate student ones as being exceptionally mean :/

There’s very little you can do in terms of your rent, the tenancy agreement will be ironclad in that respect; most in similar situations try to find someone to move in, in their place, but that’s not always that easy.

If you’re able to document the mental health condition (perhaps with evidence from a GP or health practitioner), you could apply to Student Finance England (or the appropriate funding body) to continue paying out on any maintenance loan you were previously entitled to. See: https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-if-you-suspend-or-leave/getting-student-finance-while-you-suspend-your-studies - this may be your best bet.

Edit: I just wanted to add, you have my sincere sympathies; I’ve seen this first hand, with a previous partner suffering the exact same fate. As far as the rent was concerned, we managed to appeal to SFE for continued funding; she also benefitted from making it abundantly clear to her former flat mates that they’d contributed to her deteriorating health, we copied this letter in to the university (they were particularly mean and lacking understanding of her condition) - this helped her with her feelings regarding it all a fair bit. The underlying health conditions were dealt with through specialist therapy and I would highly recommend you persevere in seeking treatment (if you are not already doing so).

Best wishes.
