Physician Associate

Hey, I’m currently a first year student studying Biomedical Science and hoping to do a masters in physician associate studies. I’m wondering if anyone could tell me if the employability rate is high or of it will be high by the time I get my degree.

Thanks!!
Hi.

The majority of Physician Associate graduates are either offered positions whilst completing placements during their course, or alternatively, are offered employment relatively quickly once passing the national examination. The government is pro PA, and with the current legislation going through parliament, for PAs to be regulated by the GMC, you can expect many more jobs arising in the near future.

I would say Physician Associates are here to stay. For the NHS to keep going, associate roles are very much needed. Therefore, it is a great career path to go down.
