Hi, thank you for clicking really need some advice!

The title pretty much says it all, what do i do? I really need to get onto these grad jobs and without it I will be turned down! The exam was very difficult I took it 2 years ago, wasn't at all like Edexcel.

Should I retake functional skills or some other form of maths exam? - what are the prices?

Thank you

Keep trying functional skills you’ll get there eventually. Also what are you studying? If it’s an English degree or something not maths related they more than likely won’t care about the maths GCSE grade and will mainly focus on the quality of your degree work.

In that case you may need FSL2 but don’t panic if you don’t get it, as long as you have a good portfolio and work experience that is what matters.

I was a maths GCSE student doing retakes for 3 years (7 times total) and never achieved a C always getting close but not close enough. I have made the switch to FSL2 as I’ve heard it’s a lot easier. I would say that if you want to do GCSE go for it but it seems to me it’s a lot harder than functional.
