Volunteering - Scouts or Girl Guides

Which association would be more beneficial to volunteer at? Both are local to my university and they are pretty similar other than the fact Scouts accepts both girls and boys now.

volunteer at the place you want to - you are more likely to enjoy volunteering at somewhere you like :heart:

or

volunteer at both places :biggrin:

Is one in more need than the other?

They are both very similar - yes Girlguiding has the stigma that it's all crafts and cooking (which admittedly we do do but at the girls request) however my Guide group loves the outdoors. My other guide leader decided to do a 'pamper sleepover' where the girls made face masks etc however the girls decided they wanted to go outside and play in the mud instead.

Scouts however can do more things as they're not as strict - like Scouts can do axe throwing whereas guides can't.

Whatever organisation you get as much out of it as you put in.
