And is tan DAC 1/3 by any chance? And this the second part of the question?

Ok, that makes sense. if tan DAC=1/3 you know that x=1 and the hypotenuse AC is 3. Using the fact x=1 the line BC is also 1. You can then say sin CAB = 1/3 and solve
