GOGSoc Episode VIII: I'm a surviva!

Something exciting is being discussed right now between me and my department, can't be too specific right now in case it doesn't come off (I haven't told any of my PhD friends at my uni for that reason!), but hopefully it will come to fruition! My primary supervisor is really hoping it will too!

Thank you! It's something I didn't expect to happen (and I guess it still might not, don't want to get my hopes up), but I was specifically approached, hence why I don't want to say anything to my peers in case they say "Why wasn't I approached too?!"

Ah yeah, those kinda situations are so tricky! Good idea to keep it on the down-low for now but very much hoping it bears fruit

Tbh even if it does come off, I'm sure someone will still complain that the *thing* wasn't advertised, as it won't be the first time things like this have been offered to specific people without advertising it to all PhD students in my department. In my case though, they want someone with a very specific qualification/experience, and afaik I'm the only one in the department with that.

I have a tentative postdoc interview next month ( location)! Would it be appropriate to make notes of our discussion about the project? What are some things I should ask the prof?
