So I’m getting my first dose of Japanese encephalitis vaccine next Friday at 3. Also planning going on a night out that Friday evening, does anyone know if I’ll have to limit alcohol intake? Nothing so far has been suggested but looking at some websites it suggests not to have any for 48 hours? Anyone with any experience?
Thanks.

If it says not to, then it’s been tested to have adverse effects and you really shouldn’t go out, the warnings are there for a reason!

Ask the doctor when you get the injection.

where are you travelling to and for how long? What other vaccines do you need for that destination?

Yeah obviously I’ll ask the doc when I get the injection, just trying to pre plan things. And I’m going to Vietnam for 6 weeks travelling all over. Staying in both rural and urban sites between March-may.

Alcohol is not going to interact with a vaccine, realistically.

You might feel **** after the vaccine though.
