Why was the forbidden tree in heaven if it is meant to be a place which is all-good (omnibenevolent)?

It depends on who you ask. Some people argue that the forbidden fruit was knowledge, and rather than being cast out Adam and Eve saw life for what it is, recognised their nudity, and left of their own choice: almost like the first time you willingly threw away one of your childhood toys.
Other people think that if Adam and Eve had just been patient they would have been given the fruit anyway, whilst others argue that since God is allegedly omniscient God knew that they would eat from the tree, and ultimately planned the fall in general.
My theology is a little rusty though, haven't done it in a few years.

I personally don’t think it was a test because God is omniscient right? At least in Christianity. Why would you have a test when you know the outcome, that’s boring. I think the tree was there so God had a reason to send Jesus to earth, and before that, to set up Islam and Judaism. It was all an elaborate plan to gain more followers which makes sense to me. Hey, we really are made in God’s image.
btw, I’m Theistic Agnostic
