I am wondering whats the difference between fundraising for a volunteering and just paying yourself/your parents for a trip?

Fundraising = Raising money for a certain cause.

Volunteering = Working for free - often at charities/organisations.

Fundraising for volunteering = Trying to raise money to work for free somewhere. Maybe it’s far away from home and they need travel/accommodation money.

If you fundraise, it can be something else to go on your CV as it would show your skills in communication, organisation and planning, cash-handling etc.
