For week 1, you go to a place far away in either a tent or a activities place to do small activities and 3 main ones - it's different for every place. For week 2, you stay at uni accommodation and you do boring stuff in the first half of the day and the fun activities in the second. For week 3, you plan your social projects, which is basically fundraising for the charity you picked, and for week 4, you do the things you planned in week 3

Hey 👋,

NCS is a summer programme that provides the buzz of being an adult without the full responsibility. Over 4 weeks you'll receive a crash course in life skills that inspire you to feel more independent.

You’ll meet loads of new people and battle some outdoor adventures together. Then you’ll be taking on challenges like cooking and public speaking. Finally, you’ll get your entrepreneurial hat on and do a social action project for your local community.

For more info check the below 👇

The Stages of NCS: https://youtu.be/ruZ4wKYKkJg Or you can visit our website: https://wearencs.com/

If you have any further questions, you can hit us up on our main thread: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho...ght=ncs%202020

Thanks

Sam 🙋*♀️

It can sound all a bit terrifying but you'll have a team around you to help you through it all. I've volunteered and worked for NCS and they were some of the best summers of my life doing stuff I never thought I'd manage to do.

Each provider will structure your day a little differently during each phase but the general pattern above is correct. With ours, we incorporated the planning of the project into the more active and interesting activities - we definitely didn't want anybody having to face a boring afternoon! If you get the opportunity to go, definitely do it!
