Hi!

I am conducting a research project for my dissertation at York St. John University. It is about how laugh tracks in sitcoms normalize deviant behavior. It is entirely online and I estimate it to take roughly 20 minutes to complete, although a lot of people had completed it faster than that.

Participation is entirely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without giving a reason. This investigation was granted ethical approval by the York St John University Module Research Ethics Committee for 3PY340.

For more information and/or to take part in the study please follow this link: https://yorksj.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/...ZMRlF6xN5NQ6Wx

Some of you may be familiar with the platform I am using for my research: Qualtrics

Thank you for your interest in my project!

I started to complete it but I really wish you had a "go back" button. It didn't show me one clip (maybe it was still loading), but because it wasn't on the page, I thought it would be on the next. But the questions are on the next page.

So now I have no way of seeing that clip, and if I close the window and click on the link again, it just takes me back to where I left off. Please get a "go back" button haha

Done! Would you mind doing my questionnaire, please? It takes only a few minutes, and you could win a £20 Amazon voucher!

Yeah.. a back button would be useful. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a way of adding a back button and the techies at my university didn't either so i presume qualtrics just doesn't have that function. Kind of a big oversight :/. What I can do is I can delete your partial response which should reset the survey for you if you want? I'd need the pseudonym you gave so that I can find it.

hi happy to do yours now.
could you kindly also look at the one below?

Hello! I am an undergraduate psychology student at UCLan and I am conducting survey research as part of my thesis.

This study will answer important questions about thoughts and emotions that affect the way we relate to important others and how these, in turn, may affect our own wellbeing.

If you are interested in helping out with answering these questions, please feel free to take part by answering some questionnaires.

It should only take 20 minutes.

Bear in mind that this study is anonymous and that nobody, including the researcher, will be able to identify your individual identity.

The study has received permission from UCLan and the National Bioethics Committee of Cyprus.

To complete this survey, you need to be at least 18 years old and be currently enrolled as a student.

Thank you!

Yes if you could that would be great but if you don't feel comfortable doing it then don't worry about it.
