What would be useful or what path do I take to become a politician, I’m doing politics at university. What else?

I'm in the same boat as you. Really, the most important thing is activity within a party which you intend to represent in the future. I really want to become a Labour politician, so I started by helping my local Labour Party knock on doors in the elections late last year, which was surprisingly a really fun experience. I was worried it would be quite daunting. I will warn you that many people will be a lot older, so it's helpful if you're good at talking to people of all ages. I hope we both do well in the future and I'm here if you want to talk about anything related to being a politician, it's nice to know I'm not the only one tbh.

Pick a party, get involved, put yourself forward for election.
