Hi everyone,

I've been revising over water, and I'm really stumped on what to include in a 12 marker
Using examples, assess the extent to which the hydrological cycle can influence river systems at a local scale

I have no idea what to put in this answer? Do I need to include about water budgets? Or water balance equations?

Any help would be great, thanks

Think about the inputs and outputs the hydrological cyle has on rivers. Evapouration from the river as an output, Input to the river basin/system through precipitation increasing channel flow, also via the likes of throughflow, surface run-off ect.. (this could link to human influence, urbanisation and such with impermeable surfaces) you could obvious argue against this saying that to some extent human activity can influnce some aspects of a river system, reservoirs, channel expansion/deepening.
