Passengers of cruise liner 'Diamond Princess' were released en-masse by Japan, after multiple weeks of botched quarantine in which hundreds became infected. These passengers were tested negative for the new coronavirus some days or weeks prior, however were still left in quarantine on the ship where they may since have become infected by other passengers.

Other countries who have repatriated these released passengers placed them in quarantine in their home countries, where some have also reported positive cases, including 11 Americans.

This follows a scathing criticism by Professor Iwata Kentaro (from the infectious diseases division at Kobe University Hospital, who dealt first-hand with ebola and SARS) who suggested that Japan's quarantine procedures were "completely inadequate".

Scraping the bottom of the barrel now, aren't you?

We get it, you're racist and hate the Japanese. It's unusual to find someone so proud of their prejudices...

I used to know a chap like that from China (European, parents were diplomats or some such) but having grown up in Hong Kong he considered himself Chinese and thus the Japanese were the enemy. An intriguing leap of logic if nothing else.
