QEQM Hall Langstone 08

I'm in QEQM, it was my 4th choice (9th is unlucky!) but i'm not that bothered, a room is a room.

I am a bit dissapointed at the part catered bit too, but have brought a small george forman grill to satisfy my culinary needs.

Hey I'm in the QEQM hall as well and can't remember how far down the choice was but it was near the end of my list! Great idea about your george forman grill will you be keeping it in your room?

I might do, i'll have to see what sort of rascals i will be sharing a kitchen with first. and from what i've seen on here and on facebook, i can't find anyone living in the tower of death with me so i may be on my own!

I still havent recieved my hall yet :frown:

, however im starting to worry as i put QEQM down as one of my choices, but didnt know it didnt have an ooven! its a bit silly as its only part catered from only 5 meals a week,.... so if you only want those 5 what are you supposed to do for aall the other meals? live of microwave meals?? :frown:

very gay, and i cant drive yet and definitely cant afford a car yet so i wouldnt even have the benifit of being able to bring a car.

Yeah i was thinking the same, i dont mind no oven if i had all my meals but i dont wana live off microwave meals the rest of the time!! Ahh well never mind, im sure we will all cook up some lovely micro chips!

The george forman is definately a good idea, i may be purchasing one as well!

How do you know your in the tower of death? lol I know my room number but have no idea which part/ building its in!

It's all in the details,

my letter said QEQM Hall BT43, it's the BT bit which means Barnard Tower (also there are 8 rooms per floor which means i'm on the 6th floor)

I have also found a few people on facebook who are in the tower, still no one on my floor though!

ahhh you kids. you're meant to put your halls in order of choice but it does state that if you don't wanna go there, DON'T PUT IT DOWN!

mine went 1,2,3,4. that was it. i got my first choice.

I dont know why you call it that...
the rooms there are better *and at least twice as big* as any other QEQM block!..you get great views, and you guys are closer to the bus stop and restaurant than any of the other QEQM/Langstone/Trust halls....

Although....no ventilation in the kitchen.....prepare for fire-alarms.....lots of them :biggrin:

But you have a HUGE problem..
Theres NO ventilation in the BT kitchens......but if you open the door, you'll set the fire alarm off..so good luck!!
