Are there any films out there that are regarded as "essential" viewing and considered all-time classics by film critics and/or the general audience that you just can't stand? I'd have to pick Citizen Kane-a film so lauded and artistically appreciated by high-brow critics, but one I found so boring that I wonder why it deserves classic status at all.

I can understand Avatar and Titanic but what's your issue with Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

Agree with Avatar! I rewatched it recently (after years) and it just didn't hold my attention

I am not sure about 'great' but everyone seemed to love the Guy Richie Sherlock Holmes movie - it took 3 or 4 installments to make it to the end. I love RDJ, and Jude Law is pretty good too, but even that wasn't enough.
