My geography teachers are pretty rubbish, so I'm thinking of self-teaching myself from now on. Does anyone have any advice on how I can approach this? Thanks.

1. Get the specification.
2. ID resources books, notes, vids.
3. Make notes or at least collect a set of notes. Finish the spec.
4. If you have any coursework , do that.
5. Do some intermediate question answering and get a feel for the exam paper. Exams often have different sections and different styles of questions, which you need to master.
6. Move onto bigger questions and then start doing exam papers with notes and then without notes, eventually moving to timed.
7. Get the exams marked and see where you lost marks.
8. Repeat exam questions making sure to gain the extra marks.
9. Look at mark schemes and examiners reports plus work on weak spots.
10. Plan for and then sit the exam.

It comes to a point you need to take responsibility, if the teachers dont help then help yourself or make a complaint to the head if they arent doing their job. That may be more difficult if others are doing well.
