My parents recently moved to Westminster, and I they promised me one of the bedrooms when I'm home for holidays. But they've now rented the room out and I feel like I don't have a home I can stay in during holidays anymore. It this a common thing to do?

Talk to them about it. They might make space for you or maybe they are only renting it for when you're not there

Given the amount they can get in rent for a single room in Westminster, yes: it's very common

Expect your parents to be taking a long, luxurious holiday in Mustique or similar this year.
