So I am currently studying AAT (finished school last year) and I am doing a fast rack course (meaning that I do level 2 and 3 in one year). How long would it take me to become an accountant?? I want to become one in the shortest amount of time posible. Also what are the different jobs (with descriptions) you can carry out as an accountant ? Is it hard to become one?? ( I know there are diffrent routes so if someone could explain them to me it would be great)

well becoming a charted accountant means having finished your ACCA or BICA the also having completed 3 years of experience.

as for AAT...
You can apply to become an AAT full member after completing the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting.

Achieve AAT Accountant status

When you successfully complete the Professional Diploma in Accounting and meet our work experience requirement of 3 years, you can apply for AAT full membership and become a professional AAT Accountant (MAAT).

however AAT limits you to being either a book-keeper or an accountant.. however is a stepping stone to becoming a CA as you can join acca after that ... and having already done 3 years work experience will help propel you in ACCA to becoming a charted accountant much faster
