Yes, clearly.

P.S. I do not have as high reps as many others.

I believe you get rewards and respect as you advance through the ranks to separate yourself from the ordinary to become amazing.
Can you think of any other reason for posting?

Says the guy who tirelessly posts in order to help people (many of whom don't deserve it) and is self-effacing and humble enough to hide his considerable 'rep' from others.

I post to try and give the best advice I can and offer help to others. Occasionally we can have a laugh too.
There’s a bunch of really nice people here.
The green gems don’t get you anything, they’re just there

Nah. I would have reached high rep levels years faster if I'd strategized. It's easy to figure out what types of posts are rep-magnets. But I personally wouldn't gain anything of value from that. I prefer to focus my time on TSR on relating to and helping people.

Nope not immune. But how did you miss the level of sarcasm?
Actually just had to look up the difference between irony, sarcasm and satire.

We are not sweating it out, we are having a jolly good time!! We are not grinding rep out either. (like sausage machines?

Most of us are here because we are passionate about helping others, and sometimes having a laugh whilst we do it.

I help people with Oxford admissions and with medicine. Even though I am not actually a doctor (unlike Ecolier) My fanaticism with Oxford may scare you, but I have a mission to help state school students get into Oxford.

If I see someone posting about Oxford, I can't help but join in. If the post helps people they rep me, and so much the better. However much important than the rep is the fact that my post may have actually helped students in real life and maybe a few lurkers as well.

Plus I love having a laugh with my friends Harrysbar and the bear. In this case I am getting rep for enjoying myself, so it is not a "grind".

Yes. Spending one day every three months putting together a new anime season preview thread is the optimum way of reaching 12 gems, so long as you're prepared to keep at it for a decade and a half.
