The Student Room Group

this bi girl epidemic ...

I'm 23 now, and I remember back in the day when I was at school (going back about 7 yrs now) It was virtually unheard of to see two girls together ...and if you did it was always the butch lesbian types in thier 40's.

now-a-days when i walk around the shopping centre i see unprecedented numbers of girls holding hands n' stuff ..where it's obvious they're in a relationship. and these are no butch lesbians either ..they're young pretty things

these girls tend to be mostly in the 14-19 age range with the highest number of bi girls looking between 14-16. however at my age I don't think i'd consider dating a girl who wasn't at the very least 17 tbh.

now i'm no einstein but If all these girl are hooking up with each other that means there's less girls to go around for the guys. for every girl couple that gets together it means 2 guys are left without girlfriends ..thus increasing competiton of the other available girls ...and making some guys go possibly go lonely or go lower and go for girls you wouldn't normally.

I never thought i'd actually say this but should hetrosexual guys be getting a tad worried about this?

guys (males) may think it's cool now with all this girl on girl action but it's getting more and more common and methinks some guys may soon start to sympathesise with the sterotypical angry black woman when she complains too many "brothers" are going for white girls.

bi/gay guys ...many are still too scared to express thier sexuality like this I think .. as i never see any guys together holding hands and stuff..

...oh well, it's good i suppose that times are changing and you girls feel more at ease with your sexuality, ...

strange though as it appears to be mostly teenage girls going bi and not older girls, ..hmmmm ...

OP has been thinking about this a bit too much imo...

but if you're bi, you like guys too
Well, I hope that happens.

Then the population will finally start to drop, like in Japan.

It sure is a pressing issue (perhaps the most pressing issue) in modern society ()

LoL, don't give the OP ideas...he'll probably start spying on some unsuspecting Japanese teenagers in a shopping centre in downtown Tokyo

as with the social stigma that still excists of being gay ..I do not think as much gay 14-19 year olds are experimenting with thier sexuality and getting with other guys as bi girls are doing. ..and if they're not experimenting with other guys they're not canceling it out.
I hold hands with all my friends it doesn't mean we're gay together
Girls hold hands with friends too..

Also there aren't necessarily MORE gay/bi girls, they are just perhaps more open about it now.

I really don't think guys are under threat
How on earth would you 'cure' the problem?

You've got to remember a hell of a lot of these aren't actually gay just really good friends. Loads of girls I went to school with used to be all touchy-feely with each other just because they were good mates. Another group to consider is the "lets kiss and pretend we're bi to attract guys" group, they're pretty pathetic but quite substantial in some circles.
...:hmmm:

I hold hands with my mates all the time... we also hug, kiss (on the cheek) and touch each others boobs. It doesn't mean we're gay, girls just do those things.

I think the UK population is also dropping, as with most developed countries, its just that poorer countries are still increasing at a faster rate.
