Which exam board is this?
Generally, when people obtain a significantly low mark, there are large gaps in their knowledge. In your case, I feel that this might be the problem. How much of the book have you completed? Have you worked on maths consistently through out the year? If not, it may be best to start there. Unless you have a strong foundation, there is no point in proceeding to past papers. If you are doing Edexcel, you can access solution bank, which explains worked solution for every question in the book. Once you have built a strong foundation, starting practicing past papers. Do them very frequently, and your grade will go up. You have very little time left, so I wouldn't try to address everything in the book. Attempt all the exam style questions in the book and move on to past papers as soon as you can. I would recommend using "https://www.examsolutions.net". This website covers pretty much all the content that you will need. Also, If you don't need a level maths, you can just opt to drop it ( as long as you are doing 3 other a levels, and your universities don't require it).

i used to the book to revise and i felt as if i was very confident going in the exam today but when i did the questions they were types of questions i have never seen before. However i learnt all the topics for pure just before half term.

Ah, right. That changes things. Idk why your teachers decided to test you on topics that weren't even taught. Well, Edexcel has increased the difficulty on the new qualification. If you don't have content problems, I would recommend sticking to the past papers. Don't feel restricted to the new spec past papers. The old C1-4 is still somewhat useful. Most people use additional resources and papers which were designed for the new specification. Perhaps those might be helpful to prepare you for the style of questions. Check last year's exam thread. People have linked resources there. Good Luck!

That was my real paper in summer, and I thought it had gone really badly, but it was okay in the end. You might have more marks than you think. What questions do you know you got right?

that was because the grade boundaries are low i think but i need to average 50 marks at least.I just find the massive integration questions hard and also other questions.

Before giving up take a look at how the rest of the class are doing. Do most do pretty badly? There are some really bad teachers out there who shouldn't be teaching maths. A few years ago I had a very bright hardworking lad from Enfield Grammar school, whose maths was going down the tubes. It most definitely wasn't his fault. The head of maths was unbelievably useless. After studying with me he got an A or A* (can't remember which). Even if your teacher is not bad, a good tutor might make a big difference.

Is it the modelling questions you find hard? The best thing to help with those is just loads of practice. They all start to look the same in the end.
You might have 50 marks on that paper, because there was at least 20-30 marks of easy stuff. A good attempt on the other questions could almost get you to 50.

Past papers and the sample papers. There is old spec ones if you run out. The sample papers might still be locked on the website, but your teachers can get them for you.
