Esslemont House

Hi!
I was just informed that I got accommodation from Esslemont house. Can somebody tell me is it a nice place or some kind of hell hole. And if somebody is having pictures or something like that I would love to see them.

Tiny bedrooms,
Not much atmosphere,
Always fookin freezing,
Feels like a prison,
Unequipped kitchens (silly little tabletop cookers)

It's not the most interesting house (or at least it wasn't this year), it's identical to Burnett & Hector Boece in terms of rooms and layout. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, it's the people that live there that'll make it for you.

Yeh I knew loads of people there during first year, but as the above poster said, it's the people who make it, not the actual rooms. I'd have had no quams had I been there.

Hi, I am in Esslemont house too. I will be staying in room 99E, what about you?
Does anyone know if there is a notice board or something to stick posters, pictures etc to? Haha hope its not too bad, oh well it will be an interesting experience.

To be honest, if you have friends all over Hillhead then you won't have to spend much time there - that's why I think it's important during freshers week to get out and meet as many people as possible - put simply, you have a whole year to get to know your flatmates, they can wait a week :P

I'm in 95E myself. Whatever the bad press the place has gotten it's at least a place to put your head down which is what I'm looking for lol. Looking forward to seeing who my new neighbours are going to be.
