If my goal is A* in Maths A level, can I redo my AS Math so to give me a better chance?
Got 87% for my AS Maths last year, want to redo AS Maths this year again together with A2 so to gain higher chances in A*. Can I do this? Would this be considered as retake? Do most UK schools accept this? Thanks

To get A* at A -Level you need average 90% in your A2 exams - getting 87% or 100% at AS Level would make no difference. That's how it worked when I did them in 2018 - I can't see it having changed since
