lol okay, thanks for depopulating the West so that more Chinese can live.

I'm not Chinese btw.

And no, obviously it isn't an inborn trait, you ignorant racist. It's not even a trait at all, Chinese people love animals and own the most pets in the world.

lmao - "I'm not Chinese btw"

Your training isn't too effective comrade, please submit yourself for reeducation - your social credit points is now enough for you to buy a "pet" pangolin
Why new diseases seem to keep appearing in China - they need to get a hold on wildlife consumption and some people eating everything that moves ffs

It took Italy nearly 6000 cases before they finally started to properly implement the measures that have been successful in China...

I hope it doesn't take us that long.

people calling in from Italy say that people are still socialising within the lockdown areas that you can't get into them without a special pass no ghost town syndrome like in China, but they do say people have stopped the kissing on the cheeks.

Oh and people flying in from northern Italy to Heathrow aren't getting any checks they're going straight into our transport system

Nothing important tbh but there is a petition you can sign to shut down schools due to COVID-19: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300403 already has 150K+ signatures but hey I guess?

Lovely. Not only is it already spreading among people domestically, we're importing more virus. Way to go.

Not gonna happen. Most schools don't want to close down. I live near Maidstone where it broke out and my school hasn't closed down. It will take outbreaks in the hundreds or thousands everywhere in the country for schools and workplaces to start closing down. It's definitely going to get into the tens of thousands here, probably at least a hundred thousand. The media is just making everyone hysterical here; nobody is prepared to do anything about it.

seems that avian flu started in China, and while swine flu started in Mexico, it's spread fast in China.

Big update everyone:

Turns out there are 2 different strains of it spreading now. It's possible one is becoming deadlier than the other.

Not a big update. This was published in a paper last Tuesday and if you actually read the piece of journalism you linked to, you will see that the various scientists they asked to comment didn't see this as a big deal at all.

It will it will..., though nationwide quarantine is much easier to impose on an island, since all you do is stop inbound and outbound transport of people.
