Career after PhD

I'm in the third year of my PhD at Cardiff University School of Medicine. I'm really enjoying research but as staying in academia isn't the most stable of careers I'm considering going into a field with more patient interaction. I'm currently thinking of either applying to the NHS scientist training programme, or doing graduate entry medicine. My biggest concern about medicine is finances, I own my own home with my self employed partner, and I'm worried that he will end up having to support me during my studies. Can anyone studying graduate entry medicine give me advice on fees/loans? Or advice in general? 😊
