Ddoe lansiodd Prifysgol Aberystwyth ei Ysgol Gwyddor Filfeddygol newydd. Bydd yr Ysgol yn croesawu ymgeiswyr eleni am ei radd Gwyddor ​M​i​l​feddygaeth BVSc mewn cydweithrediad â'r Coleg ​M​i​l​f​eddygol Brenhinol.

Bydd yr ymgeiswyr cyntaf yn cychwyn ar eu hastudiaethau ym mis Medi 2021.

Gofynion mynediad Lefel A: Cynnig nodweddiadol: AAA (gan gynnwys Bioleg a Chemeg) a thrydydd pwnc na ddylai orgyffwrdd â Bioleg na Chemeg, ac eithrio astudiaethau cyffredinol. Bydd mwy o fanylion a gwybodaeth am y gofynion mynediad yn dilyn yng Ngwanwyn 2020.

Aberystwyth University yesterday launched its new School of Veterinary Science. It will welcome applicants this year for its BVSc Veterinary Science degree in cooperation with the Royal Veterinary College.

The first entrants will start their studies in September 2021.

A Level entry requirement: Typical offer: AAA (including Biology and Chemistry) and a third subject which should not overlap with Biology or Chemistry, excluding general studies. Further details and information regarding the entry requirements will follow in Spring 2020.

That can't happen till a full 5 year course has run through, and then I think there is something parliament has to approve. Just like Surrey has just gone through and HK will need to do in 5 years time with their first cohort

This from the website: The RVC, Aberystwyth University and the RCVS are working closely together to ensure that our BVSc course meets the standards required for the RCVS to grant full accreditation in 2026 when the first cohort of students graduate. I am sure that people will - you only have to look at the number of applicants that are on hold this year, meaning that they are likely to be good enough to be offered a place if only there were more places available. It is interesting that the tie in with RVC has led to higher grade requirements than either of the other new courses. I wonder if the Welsh government will offer funding for welsh applicants to study there?
