I was wondering what the big differences were between Kantian and Virtue ethics? I've been doing some independent research on them, however, I've gotten a little confused between the two. I am covering them in my EPQ about gender and moral decisions, however, I am a little confused between them, so I thought I would search for help on here. Are there any big differences? Would anyone be able to give me some good resources to have a read of?
Thanks!

Kantian ethics is usually known as deontological ethics - that might help you look up comparisons and contrasts.

On Kant's ethics:

https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/kant-moral/

On Virtue ethics:

I grabbed you a couple of pdfs re why the two might be closer than commonly assumed. You can access them here:

There is a big difference :-) Kant focuses on the duty of the moral actor, and virtue ethics focuses on the character of the moral actor. In all moral discourse the following questions arise but are given different importance:
What is the good thing to do? (Kantian ethics)
What is the good character to have? (Virtue ethics)
What is the good consequence of action? (Utilitarianism)
The above is of course gross oversimplification but hopefully helps...
