For the essay in paper 3 some marks are available for content beyond the syllabus. Anyone know if knowledge from other a levels such as chemistry can be used?

I think it generally means reading above eg if it was proteins structure/function a specific protein that may be seen in biology journals and higher tiers of education? guessing though

Fair enough and they expect us to have knowledge of this in such a diverse range of topics? Any suggestions on stuff to read?

honestly. my tutor told me not to bother. in the grand scheme, the difference between 24 and 25 isnt worth endless scouring of biological journals etc, I see where hes coming with this but Atm I'm trying for one article a week on a pretty vague topic. e.g cycles structures, homeostasis etc. just google something rough on google scholar. as I was told though, I definitely think it's better to focus on getting the other 24 mark's perfect, because it's all well and good knowing above spec but unless you get to the band below that it doesnt matter

Yeh tbf seems a lot of effort for two marks. Watching a youtube video and she suggested the purple plus boxes in the textbook? May be easier to do idk?
