I would be looking at cheap second hand copies of books like these that can teach me study skills such as writing an essay, doing research etc
These should teach you the skills you need and give you a grasp of how to understand whats being asked of you and how to construct an answer. Just get the cheap copies and go with the ones you feel explains things best. Try in the access and ou sub forums as well where people can respond to you.

Good study guide- normally given to OU students who return to learning. 68p.

or the previous edition is £3.04

I'm also doing the nursing access from stonebridge (which I think also owns learn direct). If you still need help, message me privately and I can give you a link to a whatapp group we have just started recently.
